Kathie DeBonis
Kathie DeBonis, Head Coach of Bridgewater-Raritan High School, just completed her 15th season as Head Coach of the Women's field hockey team. Coach DeBonis's career record is 221-98-8. Her teams have posted 7 seasons with 20 plus wins, 8 Skyland Conference Championships, 5 Somerset County Championships, and 6 Sectional State Championships. Her teams have appeared the last 6 years in the New Jersey State Group 4 Championships. The 2011 team finished 20-4 and sixth in the state. Her combined record for the past years is 165-22-4. Coach DeBonis has been named Coach of the Year 10 times, is a member of the New Jersey State Coaches Hall of Fame and the Rumson Fair Haven Hall of Fame. She was named the 2009 National Coach of the Year by the National Federation of High Schools. She currently serves as the Somerset County Representative for North Jersey Field Hockey Association and is a member of the National All American Committee. As the women's Bridgewater-Raritan High School Lacrosse Coach, she has amassed a record of 209-61 since then inception of the program in 1997. Her teams have a total of 6 conference titles, 5 County titles and were the Group 4 State Champs in 2009. She has also been the head coach of Swimming, Tennis and Soccer where she acculuated more than 100 wins in each of the aforementioned sports along with nunumerous state and sectional titles. She has been the Director of Lady Panther Field Hockey and Lacrosse camps since it's genisis in 1996. Kathie is a graduate of Montclair State College and is employed as a Health Specialist at Bridgewater-Raritan High School.
Lydia Pinto
Coach Pinto played field hockey and lacrosse at Kean University from 2003-2007. While at Kean, she served as a 2-yr. captain and was named to the Division III Academic All-American Team. In 2006, Lydia played lacrosse on a U.S. team that traveled to Czech Republic where they took 3rd place in the Prague Cup playing against national and club teams from Czech Rep., Scotland, Germany, Japan, and England. Lydia began her coaching career at Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark from 2005-2007 winning a conference championship. She has been coaching the field hockey and lacrosse teams at B-R since 2008, specializing in goalkeeping. She has been a coached at Holly Shores Camps for the past 6 years and has worked the Lady Panther Camps for the past three years. She has helped guide the team to numerous county, conference and sectional state championships. She is currently a health and physical education teacher at Bridgewater Raritan High School. In 2011 she served as the Interim Varsity Lacrosse coach at BRHS and compiled a record of 11-7. In her spare time she works for Bridgewater Driving School.
Maria Caro
Maria is a 2009 graduate of Bridgewater Raritan where she lettered in Field Hockey and Softball. At Bridgewater-Raritan Second-team NFHCA High School All-American ... Selected NHFCA High School All-Region ... Garnered second-team New Jersey All-Group 4 honors each of the last two years ... Led BRHS to the NJSIAA North 2 Group IV final for the fourth straight season in 2008 by notching a hat trick in the team’s semifinal victory ... Helped the squad to four sectional championships, four Slyland Conference crowns, and two Somerset County Tournament titles ... A team captain in 2008 ... Named the Courier News Field Hockey Player of the Year in 2008 ... A three-time Courier News All-Star choice ... Earned All-Somerset and all-area first team honors in 2007 and 2008 ... A three-time All-Slyland Conference honoree ... Finished her senior season with 13 goals and a school-record 18 assists ... Played softball at Bridgewater-Raritan and was an two-time all-county choice ... Played club field hockey for the Spirit Eagles Group (SEG) Hockey Club ... Received the first-ever “Papa Singh” Memorial Award given by the coaches of the SEG Hockey Club to the player that represents the Spirit and Love of the game of field hockey ... At William and Mary....2010 Second-team all-state honoree by VaSID following the season ... Ranked second in the league and 10th in the nation with five defensive saves on the year ... Made two defensive stops against No. 1 North Carolina ... Her five defensive saves tied for the 12th-most in a season at W&M, and most since Anna Davis had 11 in 2005 ... Brought her career total to seven defensive saves, tied for the 11th-most in school history ... Also had two goals and an assist ... Led the Tribe with 29 shots and 16 shots on-goal ... Preseason All-CAA. 2009 CAA All-Rookie selection ... Started 17 matches, and appeared in all 18 of the Tribe's contests ... Scored two goals, with one assist and a team-high two defensive saves ... Opened the year with a defensive save against Boston College, and added another against then-No. 4 Princeton ... Scored goals in the College's back-to-back wins over Rutgers and Appalachian State ... Goal against the Mountaineer's proved to be the eventual game-winner ... Assisted on the lone goal against James Madison.
Kendall Deck
Kendall is a ‘08 graduate of Bridgewater-Raritan High School, where she lettered in field hockey and lacrosse; competed at the Futures National in 2005 and 2007 as well as the National Indoor Tournament in 2007 and 2008; 2007 Academic All-America Team selection; her other 2007 accolades included All-State Second Team, NJFHCA All-Star, NJFHCA Group 4 First Team, Somerset County First Team and Skyland Conference First Team; also received the conference, county and Group 4 honors as a junior in ‘06; led Bridgewater-Raritan to a Group 4 state runner-up finish from 2005-07 and the team won the conference title all four years. At UNH Kendall started all 20 games, including both games in the America East championship; tied for third on the team in assists with a total of five. Her Collegiate accolades include: America East Academic Honor Roll (‘08); America East All-Rookie Team ‘08); Susan Kilmister Memorial Award (‘09).
Alyssa Dragon
Alyssa is a 2008 graduate and played four years of lacrosse and field hockey for Bridgewater-Raritan High School. First Team All-American senior year, Honorable Mention All-American junior year...Two-Time Courier News Player of the Year...Named to First Team All-Conference, All-County, All-Area, and All-State in both her junior and senior years...Named First Team All-Conference, All-County, and All-Area her sophomore season, and named Second Team All-State...Piled up 274 career goals and 148 career assists in lacrosse...Also named All-Conference, All-County and All-Area in the midfield for the field hockey team...A member of the National Honors Society.
Carlee Dragon
Carlee Played four years of field hockey and lacrosse for Bridgewater-Raritan High Schoo. She currently plays both sports at C.W.Post. In field hockey… four-time all-conference, three time all-area and all-county, three time all-state and all-North Jersey … during her senior season, scored 49 goals and had 24 assists en route to a North Jersey State Championship and a State Finalist appearance, garnering first team all-conference, all-county and all-area accolades, as well as first team all North-Jersey and first team all-state accolades … was also an all-state lacrosse player, finishing her career as the New Jersey All-Time career scoring leader with 258 goals and 274 assists while helping the helping the Panthers to three Skyland Conference Championships and three Somerset County Championships In Lacrosse she played in 16 games, scoring six goals and adding eight assists for 14 total points …Played four seasons of varsity lacrosse for Bridgewater-Raritan … New Jersey All-Time career scoring leader with 258 goals and 274 assists while helping the helping the Panthers to three Skyland Conference Championships and three Somerset County Championships … was a three-time all-conference, all-county and all-area first team selection … was named player of the year and athlete of the year three times … two time all-state first team selection … also a standout field hockey player.
Taylor Luke
Taylor played four years of field hockey at Bridgewater-Raritan High School. Currently playing at University of Albany.Named to the America East Conference First Team and was an all-rookie selection after anchoring the nation’s top defensive unit… Helped lead UAlbany to a top national ranking in goals against average (0.72), as the Great Danes allowed only 13 goals in 18 games… Recorded two defensive saves. HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year starter and senior captain... Led Bridgewater-Raritan to four conference championships, two county titles and four North Jersey Group IV Section I and II championships... Scored 20 career goals and holds the school record with 32 assists... Member of the National Futures program from 2004-08 and played in the national championship in 2006... Erica Perrine
